Summer has been great so far. Seeing friends semi-frequently, and enjoying the massive thunderstorms passing through the Midwest of the United States (I woke up last morning because my bed was shaking from crazy thunder).
At this point I'm in super practice mode, everyday. Caffeine never felt so good, sleep never felt so bad!
I just finished a book by James Gurney called Color and Light: A Guide for the Realist Painter which was incredibly insightful! The best book I've ever purchase in relation to art studies. The book explores, in deep scientific explanation, how the world works in terms of how light and color behaves. I've never seen the color wheel(s) like I do now and I hope to apply it to my art.
In addition I'm revisiting many anatomy books and studies. I'm doing many sketches a day but I'm probably not going to upload anything (all are infinite suck).
At this rate I hope I can pull off a career as an entertainment designer. It turns out all, if not most, of my absolute favorite artists are concept artists or designers.
